Asian Institute of Technology (AIT)
The Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) is an international institution for higher education in engineering, advanced technologies, and management and planning. It "promotes technological change and sustainable development" in the Asian-Pacific region, through higher education, research and outreach (see more on Wikipedia).
Most recently, AIT has been designated by the United Nations as the permanent site of the world’s first Regional Centre of Excellence on the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), dedicated to the promotion and achievement of the MDGs in South-East Asia through education and training.
