Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU)
Huachiew Chalermprakiet University (HCU) (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยหัวเฉียวเฉลิมพระเกียรติ) was founded as the first non-profit private university in Thailand in 1938 as the Huachiew Midwifery Center. By 1941, the center had grown into Huachiew Hospital. In 1981, the Ministry of University Affairs approved the establishment of Huachiew College, which became Huachiew Chalermprakiet University in 1992. Currently, the university has 12 faculties and a Graduate School.
