Prince of Songkla University (PSU) (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยสงขลานครินทร์ ) was founded in 1967 as a public Thai university. It was planned as a multi-campus institution to respond in a realistic manner to the needs of southern Thailand. The university has five campuses situated in different southern provinces. The university function is to incorporate global competencies with local potentials and make them available for regional development and to search, develop, and transmit local/regional competencies for global recognition and cooperation.
