Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University(MCU) (Thai: มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย์), founded by King Chulalongkorn in 1887, the Buddhist University of Thai Sangha, is a public autonomous university located in Bangkok with ten campuses and five colleges over the country. MCU aims to promote academic excellence in Buddhist Studies and other related subjects and to form a community of Buddhist scholars in Buddhism, Education, Humanities, and Social Science with the Core-Buddhist Subjects incorporated in all majors.
